Director Code Yogis
Growing up in Warwick Township, Pennsylvania, USA, I am fascinated and greatly influenced by technology. I started computer programming at the age of six and remember doing goofy programs on MIT Scratch. As I grew up, more and more activities were being added to my schedule. From making micro APIs at home to collaborating with Amazon for a finished Alexa skill, I’ve done things I would never have dreamed of doing and it all helped me grow in experience.
At six years old, my father had gotten me an MIT Scratch account which I programmed with for years. At age nine I built a lost and found application for my elementary school in New Jersey and soon after, I started learning simple
Python. This soon blossomed into the use of numerous Python libraries including face recognition and PyGame, as well as creating micro APIs using Flask. I worked on a Raspberry Pi 4 and used it for many projects over the years. For example, hooking an API, to be called from an Alexa voice skill that would remotely control the Raspberry Pi.
I am also interested in robotics and assembled several EV3 robots on my own time, and am greatly captivated by machine learning and cloud computing. I am currently an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and am constantly growing my knowledge in this fast-paced and quickly expanding technological world. I have created many video games using Python and Node JS as well as voice skills for Alexa devices. This skill was made for the Central Bucks School District in Pennsylvania and is being used by families across 23 schools. I worked in the summer of 2022 as an Intern at a New York startup by the name of Aecho and contributed to software development using Python and PostgreSQL databases. At Tamanend Middle School I was president of “The Coding Corner”, a coding enrichment club for students interested in computer programming, which is not taught in much depth in our school curriculum. Additionally, I ran 8-week free courses at Bucks County Libraries for kids to learn Scratch and Python programming online. I have also given lectures in international universities on topics like AI and ChatGPT.
I play professional tennis for the USTA and play for the Varsity Tennis Team at my high school. I have achieved much in the technological fields and hope to continue to learn and grow. despite it all, I still find time for my hobbies, which include reading and writing. I am also a blogger and write articles focused mainly on technology. I previously held a job as an instructor at Code Ninjas as well. I hope you come to see me as constantly improving and ameliorating with my passions in mind, and as I continue with my ever-evolving life, I plan to take these interests wherever they take me.
